Accounts Receivable Specialist
Position Type / Location / Compensation
- Full Time (37.5) hour work week

- Location: Lebanon County, PA
- Compensation: $40,000 to $48,000 to start annually
- Reports to: Accounting Manager
Position Overview
Lebanon County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking an Accounts Receivable specialist responsible for managing tenant and general accounts receivable, including processing receipts, preparing deposits, monitoring balances, and generating reports. This role also provides support to the Finance Director and Accounting Manager and may include additional accounting duties.
Accounts Receivable Duties
- Process tenant payments
- Process credit card payments
- Process other customer & general AR payments as received
- Process payoffs
- Prepare deposit slips
- Process move-outs as necessary
- Maintain and reconcile for developments
- Apply late charges when due
- Generate and distribute delinquent reports to property managers
- Process monthly utility surcharges
- Set up retro rent and work order repayment agreements
- Record security and pet deposits
- Process NSF and returned checks as needed.
Administrative & Finance Support
- Assist the Finance Director and Accounting Manager with additional accounting tasks as needed
- Perform other accounting duties when required
- Ensure accuracy of records in Yardi and supporting systems
- Provide responsive communication to tenants, vendors, and staff regarding accounts
Other Duties
- Travel to other Authority office locations in Lebanon County as needed
- Represent the agency professionally and respectfully in all interactions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Previous accounts receivable experience required
- Experience with Yardi software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Work Environment
- Office-based role with interactions with staff
- May involve occasional travel between offices within Lebanon County
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must have reliable transportation.
